Common Questions & Topics

Outdoor Ceremonies
We enjoy playing outdoors. But we do need to make sure that the expensive instruments and electrical equipment are protected.
Rain
We need a plan B in case of rain. Instruments cannot get wet. Even if there is a canopy, sometimes wind will make the rain fall horizontally. Also for wet or muddy conditions, we need to perform on a dry solid surface (especially for harp - delicate parts are on the bottom part of the instrument)

No matter the situation we will be as accomodating as necessary but please understand that we have to protect the instruments.
Cold
Minimum is 65F. We can go below that to 35-40F if heat lamps are provided.
Sunlight
Direct sunlight can also warp and damage the instruments. In most venues there is a spot with adequate shade but if not (open field) a canopy or some sort of protection is necessary.

Attire
Image is important. The Panche look is professional, clean, and black & white

Are your musicians local? Do they play regularly together?
Yes. Panache gives you the best of both worlds. The personal touch of hiring local musicians directly and knowing who to expect with the professional responsiveness + services and amenities that only a large company can offer.

How do you work out breaks?
Panache’s policy is to allow performers a 15 minute break after each continuous hour of performance. An hour of ceremony music is not continuous so there wouldn't need to be a break but for cocktails and dinner, a break is usually necessary.

Do I need to provide the musicians with food and drink?
For performances longer than 2 hours, it is customary to provide refreshments and/or food to the performers to avoid fatigue. Although not required, we would appreciate being informed otherwise so that we may make adequate preparations ahead of time.

The ceremony and reception are at 2 different locations ...
Panache’s services are based on the time the performers commit to your request instead of actual performance time. The time for transportation between locations will use the standard rates unless there is considerable time between that allows performers to take a break and go home. The fee for these situations will be negotiated on a case basis.
