Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQs

What are your price ranges?

Prices range from $100 to beyond $10,000. Determining factors include the duration of the performance, the number of performers, their respective levels and other applicable fees such as travel and song arrangements. Please complete our bid request <link> form to receive our price information and an estimate for your event.

What is your performers' attire during events?

Our standard performance attire is black suit and tie for men and black dresses for ladies, accompanied by our trademark, which is an orchid. However, depending on your needs we can also wear tuxedos, casual attire, or even costumes. Unique ensembles, such as our steel bands, have special attire.

How many years of professional experience do you have?

Panache as a firm has been performing since 2001 although each member of our team has anywhere from 7 to 50 years of performance experience. Through experience and Panache’s training, we deliver only the highest quality performances available.

How do you work out breaks?

Panache’s policy is to allow performers a 15 minute break after each continuous hour of performance. This break however is optional and it ultimately depends on the performer to decide if they need to take it.

I found a more affordable group, why should I choose you?

As with most professional services, clients often get what they pay for and we have heard our share of horror stories. Panache’s services are designed to maximize affordability while maintaining the highest quality while being segmented to allow flexibility on your budget.

Do I need to provide the performers with food and drink?

For performances longer than 2 hours, it is customary to provide refreshments and/or food to the performers to avoid fatigue. Although not required, we would appreciate being informed otherwise so that we may make adequate preparations ahead of time.

Do I need amplification?

Amplification is usually reserved for outdoor performances and is recommended based on audience size, wind conditions, acoustic quality, and instrument types. If, when discussing the details of your request, we find that amplification is required, we will offer it as an available option.

Do the performers in each ensemble work regularly together?

Yes. Performers must work regularly together to be a Panache ensemble because we require consistent, high quality performances. Although platinum musicians who have not worked before can read music and quickly balance with one another to create a seamless performance, it is against Panache policy because of its potential risk.

How much of a deposit do you require to reserve the date?

The deposit amount to reserve the date is 50%. The deposit is a commitment from you to request the performance and commits the musician to the date so that any other conflicting requests are discarded. The remaining balance is due 7 business days before the actual performance. No payment, with the exception of tips if you choose, should be made at the performance.

Our event is outdoors, what is your policy for outdoor performances?

To protect instruments that cost over $1000, especially acoustic instruments like the violin, we cannot perform under direct sunlight, rain, or temperatures below 60F. If these conditions prevent us from performing 50% of the balance will be refunded.

We were more interested in a local ensemble or one from my Alma matter.
Please mention this request to us and we can make arrangements in assigning the appropriate ensembles to you. We audition performers in various areas and through many different music institutions to provide you with local musicians. We are confident that we can meet this request while remaining competitively priced with your other options.

Wedding FAQs

What percentage of your business is dedicated to weddings?

As specialists, 75% of Panache's business is exclusive to wedding ceremonies, receptions, or both. Performing for a wedding is quite different from performing for an orchestra, being a teacher, or playing for other functions. Through specialization, we ensure experience and expertise.

How can I listen to you?

The best way to compare different music professionals, Panache's recordings can be found at the following link which grows as we record more songs and ensembles. These recordings are a great sample of the quality of performance we provide, but when experienced live at the wedding, it will be even better. To listen to us live, come visit us at one of our exhibitions OR we can arrange to meet you at a private performance for a fee.

How will you coordinate the timing at my wedding?

If you're wedding follows the traditional structure listed in our packages, our experienced performers can coordinate timing by watching your bridal party and/or taking cues from your wedding organizer. If you're wedding is more complex, we go over the details over the phone with you so that we know what to expect.

My wedding and reception are at two locations, how do you work out transportation?

Panache’s services are based on the time the performers commit to your request instead of actual performance time. The time for transportation between locations will use the standard rates unless there is considerable time between that allows performers to take a break and go home. The fee for these situations will be negotiated on a case basis.Thank you for your interest into Panache Entertainment.
